I guess most of us still remember this 1:16 scale model of Proton Tuah.
This scale model was built as a gift for a special Proton fan, a very young boy named Jasper who lives in Australia.
There's not much information we know about him except he is now suffering with some kind of illness and he fancies Proton so much. So, as a caring and concern community we are, this scale model was built as the symbol of our care and moral support to this little big fan.

We also receive an appreciation email form Jasper's grandmother stated how excited he was while receiving this scale model.
3rd May, 2012 Dear Christine,
Yesterday as soon as I texted you, I flew out to attend an appt. . . . . & forgot 2 take phone. Thus didn’t see your message until last night. So at last, here is Jas’s photo with the car (attached to this email).
We’ve explained to him why the car is in the format that it is, and how this is made first, before they begin 2 build the new, full-sized model cars. And also explained that it is a ‘one-of’, made especially for him, because he’s special. He has said many times to me, ‘Nana I’m very lucky. It’s made especially for me & it’s the only one !’ He just loves it, & really has enjoyed the talks we’ve had about it , & how new car models come to fruition ? He thanks the designer very much for his personal signature on the car (he’s quite in awe of it), & making the car by hand for him . . . . quote Jas (excitedly), ‘Just like they do for all new cars !!’
He was also thrilled to speak with you Christine as he knew that you have been the one keeping in contact with me . . . keeping us up-to-date with ‘his’ car’s development. He’s been incredibly excited. As I said . . . for 3 weeks prior to his last visit in the Easter school hols, he was requesting I ring nightly (so I did) so that he could talk about the car, wonder what it would be like ? . . . and to make sure that it was still on his bed, awaiting his arrival !!
Thank you again for everything . . . . and to everyone who made this possible for Jas. This has been a very positive, uplifting experience for him, resulting in a car that means so very much to him ! I’ll keep in touch. Kindest Regards 2 everyone at Proton, & to you Christine,
Cathie (Norman)
So on behalf of
Proton | design committee, we would like to thank everybody who involved in making this happen. We are here not just to build cars, but also to give hope and make it a reality.
We are there, because we care!
